The  "S" Files
Open Jaws - Closed Minds
By  Ric D.T. Wilson

More than ever there is a need for a Federal Royal Commission or major review into the shark attack cover-up and safety fiasco in Australia. On a global scale the United Nations and western governments in particular need to examine this area at the highest levels - for the sake of the people. Duty of care warrants a better approach in how this subject is managed. The false sense of security and brainwashing that the public has been subjected to in order to satisfy conservation and tourism agendas must be exposed and dealt with. The persecution of many frontline safety people must bring about total vindication.  Much knowledge is being wasted and lives put at risk accordingly. The bottom line is public safety. Does anybody care? Does anybody listen?

About the Author

In 1991 Ric Wilson was awarded a Victorian Achievers Award for promoting and encouraging water safety.  Over a fifteen-year period he observed, investigated and researched the shark attack and drowning enigma.  It was very evident from the start that authorities and those with conservation and tourism agendas were reluctant to pass on safety information when required.
