Biography

Dr. Elvira Carrillo Cárdenas graduated in Sciences, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; she has a University degree in Mathematics, specialized in Statistics. She specialized in Fish Population Dynamics in Denmark, sponsored by FAO.

She worked has an Adviser to the Republic of Yemen, was the Representative of Cuba at the Scientific Committee of ICCAT; as an expert from the Fishery Research Centre, she was an Adviser to the Ministry of Fisheries of Cuba; she is currently working as Coordinator of the Sea Turtle National Programme of Cuba.
