Biography

Dr. Lawrence is co-founder and currently Chairman of the Caribbean Turtle Management and Research Group (CTMRG), an initiative set up to ensure national and regional turtle management regimes are developed in congruence. He has served the Eastern Caribbean in several Fisheries and Marine fora for the past twenty-six (26) years.

His experience in these areas ranges from holding the leading fisheries position in St. Lucia (1984-86); as FAO and CIDA’s International Centre For Ocean Development (ICOD) Consultant to Dominica as Fisheries Development Advisor (1986 - 90). As the current Fisheries Advisor/Chief Fisheries Officer in Dominica, he continues to play a commanding role in fisheries development and management in the Eastern Caribbean.
