The Eastern Caribbean States have a long heritage of interacting with the
marine environment for their survival. Marine turtles have been part of a
resource that these islanders target primarily for food. Responsible management
of that resource for its sustenance has been an integral part of that
traditional usage. Such practices have worked but may be adversely impacted on
by activities away from their shores.
Recent acquired data reveals that this subregion is not short of management
measures to guarantee sustainable use of that resource in the face of
misinformation.
