Biography

Joji Morishita is currently the Deputy Director, Far Seas Fisheries Division, Fisheries Agency of Japan. From 1996 to 1999, he worked, as Deputy Director, International Affairs Division, Fisheries Agency, access negotiations with Pacific Island countries, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, APEC Fisheries WG and other APEC meetings on living marine resources and marine environment, and with the Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna (CCSBT) on Central Western Pacific tuna fisheries management issues. From 1993 to 1996, he was Fisheries Attache, Embassy of Japan, Washington, D.C.
