Dr Wall has a BS and MS degree in Wildlife Biology and Zoology from Louisiana
Tech University. He received a Ph.D. in forest wildlife management from Stephen
F. Austin State University. Dr Wall’s work experience includes:
- Developing and supervising hunting and wildlife conservation program on 2.4
million acres of private industry forestlands in the Southeastern US. This
program netted over $4 million per year;
- Supervising the development and implementation of a GIS based ecosystem
management approach to managing private Western (US) forest lands for
biodiversity and harvestable game populations;
- Helping to develop innovative policies to change the US ESA to enhance
private sector incentives.
Dr Wall joined Safari Club International in the summer of 1998 as Senior
Scientist for Wildlife Conservation. His focus is on development of projects and
case studies that demonstrate the role of hunting in incentive based sustainable
use and conservation of biological resources.
