A restricted number of saker falcons are legally exported since 1994 each year. In 1994, 80 falcons were exported; in 1995, 120 falcons; in 1996, 20; in 1997, 130; in 1998, 25; in 1999, 61, mainly to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
