Lapointe’s UN Joint Appeals Board case

In November 1990, Lapointe was fired as Secretary-General of CITES.  In March 1993, The U.N. Judicial System called this decision “arbitrary and capricious” and demanded that the Secretary-General of the United Nations recognise the high value of Lapointe’s services to CITES.
